How EFT Can Help You Work Smarter, Not Harder
I’m someone who loves learning about productivity – I’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, and tried so many systems and hacks, but I think there was always a bit of a dark side to my fascination…
For a long time, I was very hard on myself because I felt that I wasn’t meeting my ‘potential’. I believed that if I could just work harder, longer and more consistently (in other words, like a machine rather than a human!) I’d find the answer.
But that of course never worked and more often than not I’d get stuck in a cycle of procrastination - spending hours avoiding tasks and then beating myself up for not being “productive enough.”

Here’s the thing: as much as society tries to convince us otherwise, I don’t believe our value is tied to how much we get done. But, I also know how good it feels to make progress and achieve something meaningful.
The challenge for me was finding a way to work smarter, not harder - and that’s where EFT Tapping comes in.

How EFT Tapping Helps Me Work Smarter (rather than harder!)
If you’re unfamiliar with it, EFT Tapping is an easy to learn stress reduction technique that lowers cortisol production in the body allowing you to step out of the fight or flight response.
I use it in lots of different ways in my life and work but it is an absolute game changer when it comes to productivity and procrastination.
Here’s how it helps…
…………………………….
1. Overcoming Procrastination
For years, procrastination felt like an immovable wall to me - like a tangible presence in my life.
If it’s something you’ve experienced, then you’ll know how frustrating and painful it can be.
EFT is the only thing I’ve found that works to overcome it.
The reason for this is that procrastination isn’t a character flaw or a lack of the ‘right system’ rather, it is often a sign that our body is in a stress response.
This is why EFT works so well; it allows us to calm that stress response and understand and process the resistance we’re facing - once we do that, we are able to move forward freely and complete the tasks we’re putting off with an ease you wouldn’t believe possible.
2. Boosting Creativity and Innovation:
The other interesting thing about the stress response is that the more stressed we are, the less engaged the executive function part of our brain becomes (the prefrontal cortex which is responsible for problem solving and seeing different perspectives etc).
Again, tapping works wonders on this front, I use it any time I’m struggling with a challenge and it quickly helps me tune back into those really helpful parts of my brain – enhancing my ability to see things clearly, think outside the box and problem solve effortlessly.
Again, I believe this is the definition of working smarter, not harder - bringing an ease and lightness to tasks that previously felt heavy and difficult.

Being productive doesn’t have to mean pushing yourself to your limits - it can be about using your resources wisely to create better outcomes.
On a personal level, that means finding tools and strategies that help you make progress without burning out. For me, EFT Tapping is the most effective tools for doing just that – the ultimate support when it comes to ‘working smarter, not harder’.
