Nicola’s Story…
I still remember the moment that changed everything.
It was around 15 years ago and I was sitting in a lecture theatre in the final year of my undergraduate degree in accounting and finance when we had a single lecture on employee wellbeing.
It was just a small part of the course, but for me, it felt like time-stood-still. Something clicked.
Something clicked.
I knew, without a doubt, that this was what I wanted to do with my life.
From that moment onwards, every step I took was about understanding what makes workplaces - and the people within them - thrive.
I completed a Master’s in Accounting and a PhD in Employee Wellbeing, developing a framework to help organisations create healthier, high-performing workplaces.
But I knew that theory alone wasn’t enough - I wanted to make real, lasting change.
I went on to work as an Organisational Culture Consultant, helping businesses define their values and build inclusive, high-performing teams.
I then became a Knowledge Exchange Associate, translating research into practice - running leadership workshops, advising senior teams, and designing strategies that worked in the real world.
I qualified as a coach and took a forward-focused, solutions-driven approach to helping professionals gain clarity, build confidence, and step into their full potential.
No matter where I worked or who I worked with, the same challenge kept appearing in different guises: Stress.
It clouded thinking, weakened leadership, and impacted performance - at every level.
That’s where EFT Tapping comes in.
I first discovered EFT in my early 20s, and it quickly became my anchor - helping me stay clear-headed under pressure and navigate challenges with confidence.
After years of regular personal practice, I decided to train and become an accredited practitioner so I could share this technique with others.
In 2022, over a decade after first dedicating myself to the pursuit of workplace wellbeing, it finally felt like the right time to set up my business.
I called my venture Manera Coaching - ‘manera’ meaning ‘approach’ or ‘way’ in Spanish - because I’m bringing together various different strands to make a whole - my research background, coaching/consulting skills and of course, last but not least - the evidence-based approach of EFT Tapping.
Now, as an EFT Tapping Coach, I bring this tool to organisations and professionals, helping them enhance executive function, build resilience, and perform at their peak.
